We’ve had the chance to watch a footage from a western mercenary or “volunteer” fighting near Kherson against Russia, as part of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

As you know, we remain analytical and tell the good and the bad, regardless of what side. This post is not biased, it is just really that fucking bad.

The “foreign legion” made up mostly of Americans (basically straight from Iraq/Syria, some of them just got home and went straight to Ukraine) French, Polish & some Italians & Brits.

These guys get thrown into units where half speaks English and the other half speaks a random language, with some Ukrainians mixed in (usually giving the commands as they’re the only ones with radio communications to the next higher up giving orders) — they don’t understand what’s going on. They don’t understand the languages at all. They’re jumping car to car and get thrown in between Ukrainians who are retreating — making them hold the positions. These guys hide under bridges, in trenches, in random houses, and just soak up artillery, hide, and wait for commands that change every 5 mins. No one knows what’s going on. They don’t know where the Russians are or where their friendlies are. They can’t distinguish between a Russian Armed Forces BTR/Tank or a Ukrainian one.

Every single person from this foreign legion unit ended up with heavy injuries from Russian Armed Forces artillery fire and nearly direct tank shells. The stuff you see on twitter of Russian Armed Forces artillery being “inaccurate” are pure bullshit. These guys get hit within meters — while on the move.

They have no communications amongst one another as everyone sports different equipment. They are given RPG 22’s without any instructions on how to use them, literally no idea how to arm the launchers or even fire them. They get thrown straight inside Russian Armed Forces artillery fire control areas and eventually end up retreating with casualties.

The fighting positions in Kherson are quite literally 1KM apart. But the Russians have so much firepower that the troops just hide in trenches and wait for Ukrainian hardware to do the pushing. About 50% of the Ukrainians tanks and BTRs get hit within half an hour of deployment, the other half retreats safely.

We’ve had our doubts about Russia being able to drive them out without a major counteroffensive but after watching this, the incompetence, the disorientation, disorganization & pure confusion, we’re pretty confident the Ukrainians and the “Volunteers” will not last long. The Russians don’t fight like this. They are organized amongst their units and have perfect comms in comparison. The guys fighting on the Ukrainian side literally have no idea what’s going on.

On top of that, COVID is raging amongst the Ukrainians and the foreign mercenaries. Most are sick & likely not able to perform to their fullest for that reason. (Not like that will make a huge difference. If they’re there, they’re good to fight)

We would truly include the “good” but in the entire 1H of footage, they just took L’s and spoke about the L’s in the past days.

Maybe the one positive thing is that these guys are not afraid to go on the offensive. They are ready to die. They know they’re outgunned but they don’t give a shit. They will fight without a thought if given the command.

As you know, we remain analytical and tell the good and the bad, regardless of what side. This post is not biased, it is just really that fucking bad.

The “foreign legion” made up mostly of Americans (basically straight from Iraq/Syria, some of them just got home and went straight to Ukraine) French, Polish & some Italians & Brits.

These guys get thrown into units where half speaks English and the other half speaks a random language, with some Ukrainians mixed in (usually giving the commands as they’re the only ones with radio communications to the next higher up giving orders) — they don’t understand what’s going on. They don’t understand the languages at all. They’re jumping car to car and get thrown in between Ukrainians who are retreating — making them hold the positions. These guys hide under bridges, in trenches, in random houses, and just soak up artillery, hide, and wait for commands that change every 5 mins. No one knows what’s going on. They don’t know where the Russians are or where their friendlies are. They can’t distinguish between a Russian Armed Forces BTR/Tank or a Ukrainian one.

Every single person from this foreign legion unit ended up with heavy injuries from Russian Armed Forces artillery fire and nearly direct tank shells. The stuff you see on twitter of Russian Armed Forces artillery being “inaccurate” are pure bullshit. These guys get hit within meters — while on the move.

They have no communications amongst one another as everyone sports different equipment. They are given RPG 22’s without any instructions on how to use them, literally no idea how to arm the launchers or even fire them. They get thrown straight inside Russian Armed Forces artillery fire control areas and eventually end up retreating with casualties.

The fighting positions in Kherson are quite literally 1KM apart. But the Russians have so much firepower that the troops just hide in trenches and wait for Ukrainian hardware to do the pushing. About 50% of the Ukrainians tanks and BTRs get hit within half an hour of deployment, the other half retreats safely.
