The next morning on September 17, the Ukrainian command attempted to disengage the remaining forces in Pravdino and sent a maneuvering group in three HMMWV armored vehicles. The attempt also ended in failure: one vehicle blew up on a mine, the second was destroyed by Russian BMD-4M fire, and the third retreated to the area of Pribugskoye.

The two-day offensive of the AFU ended in a total failure: the enemy lost 15 armored vehicles, two more tanks and three BMPs were given to the Russian fighters as trophies. A group of Ukrainian fighters blocked in Pravdino surrendered.

The country does not yet have the capacity to repair such equipment, there is no significant supply of consumables and components, and the engineering staff does not yet have the skills to repair the damage in the field. Therefore, some of the expensive combat vehicles have to be taken from the front lines to factories in neighboring countries.

And this should be used: the surest way is to destroy bridges across the Dnieper River, which will make such logistics much more difficult.

If it is impossible to prevent deliveries of foreign equipment to the AFU under the current conditions, it is still quite realistic to make it impossible to repair it.
