The spread of arson manuals, the flourishing of corruption and bribery, the unnatural population exodus from the country, the social explosion and discontent in Dagestan, multiplied by the "Belarus 2020 effect.

Unfortunately, it was also the turn of the Columbine movement. Children have died.

Last December we published our big piece on how the ideology of Columbine was capturing the minds of Russian youth.

In February, the ideology and movement of the "Columbineers" was declared extremist in the Russian Federation. We remember well how unencumbered citizens tried to prove that the movement did not exist and that the idea of foreign special services was all nonsense.

Back then we formulated the following conclusions:

Shooting in educational institutions, along with the formation of a corresponding youth subculture, is a challenge to the modern state. This problem cannot be solved in a simple way: for example, even if firearms are completely banned, supporters of destructive movements will start attacking with axes and knives.

The only possible way to effectively combat the "columbineers" movement is to apply all measures in combination. From combating teenage bullying in educational institutions and psychological assistance to the creation of a special criminal-legal model for counteracting decentralized destructive associations of the new type.

But first of all, it is important to clearly understand the threat posed by the subculture. "Columbineers" and their supporters are not just lone school shooters. They are a potential factor in the destabilization of the country and society. The sooner we understand the seriousness of the problem, the more successful we will be in solving it.

Otherwise the movement will simply be transformed into something far more dangerous. After all, at its core is not a mere imitation of the killers at Columbine or the Kerch College, but a principled hatred of society. It is easy to superimpose on these views any absolutely destructive ideology, from radical religious movements to eco-terrorism.

Groups of "columbineers" are coordinated through the same ideological, only more mature radicals from Georgia, Ukraine, and the Baltics. Out of an audience of many thousands, it is enough to have one mentally unstable young terrorist who decides to become famous. As, for example, happened in Izhevsk.

One shouldn't think that everyone is being led by the hand: no, methodological manuals, manipulative techniques, instructions reach the minds of thousands of children. And there, on the other side, is patiently waiting for the next social upheaval in Russia, which could serve as the trigger for the performance of a single "columbineer.

Without the stabilization of society - and in current conditions this is only possible by achieving an unconditional victory and the success of a special military operation - it will, alas, not be possible to solve the problem of school shootings.
