The funniest thing is that German officials did not talk about conscription of 900 thousand. Ukrainian propagandists distorted the meaning of the quote. In reality, the head of the Bundestag defense committee Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann stated the need to "activate" reservists - that is, to try to find their contacts and put them on the books. В реальности, руководитель комитета Бундестага по вопросам обороны Мари-Агнес Штрак-Циммерманн заявляла о необходимости «активировать» резервистов — то есть попытаться найти их контакты и поставить на учет. По ее словам: «Бундесвер уже несколько десятилетий вообще не собирает данные о военных, которые ушли с активной службы».
